Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is located in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, on the central banks of the Yangtze River. One of the premier academic and research institutions, with 3000 full time faculty, the HUST offers 94 undergraduate programs, 225 master programs and 184 Ph.D. programs, covering 12 major disciplines. 32000 college students and 22000 graduate students broaden their perspectives on world issues in the rigorous curriculum and research laboratories spread in 30 schools. The HUST has particular strengths in physics and engineering, operates 1 national laboratory (Wuhan National Laboratory for Optoelectronics, one of six national laboratories in China) and 2 national science centers. Affiliated with 2 top 20 hospitals in China, strengths in engineering and medicine make the HUST an excellent place for medical imaging research.
Founded in 2001, PETLab@HUST is an intellectual destination that draws inspired scholars to "Visualize the invisible, Envision the future". Focusing on digital PET instrumentation, 4 professors from China and Europe, 3 postdoctoral scholars, 33 graduate students, and around 10 college students are working on physics, information technologies, optoelectronics device technologies and engineering for PET, PET/CT, and PET/MRI imaging.。
We have 3 post-doctoral positions (2 years) and 2 faculty positions (1 tenure track and 1 research track) open in PET imaging, CT imaging, image reconstruction and data analysis.
A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, or Computer Science.
Strong interest in a career in PET and/or CT imaging, either in academia or industry (for postdoctoral fellow).
