The image processing group concentrate on two main direction-the first one is the Rayplus system; the second one is development of medical image processing algorithms. Rayplus system is a web-based medical image platform (website: www.rayplus.top). It has four main part, follow up system, clinical trial management system, medical image processing system, authority management system. Inside them, the follow up system, the clinical trial management system and the authority management system have been widely used in many hospital. For the medical image processing system, it enables medical image processing algorithms which can be accessed through cloud servers. With this platform, users can complete their processing directly via the browser on a computer or mobile device without architecting workstations or installing processing software, greatly reducing costs, and increasing efficiency. Therefore, by use of this cloud-based system, the processing of medical images is no longer limited by time and place. Moreover, it can provide a powerful tool for telemedicine, mobile medical, and digital medical care. On this basis, we are mainly studying the system architecture of cloud-based medical imaging software platform, aiming to achieve an inclusive and open medical imaging software platform, and obtain a broader application scenario in clinical practice.
Meanwhile, we study medical image processing algorithms. We focus on the specific clinical application, especially the application of PET imaging, to develop new medical image processing algorithms with the framework of Rayplus system. By developing strong and widely used algorithms, we in return improve and enrich the Rayplus cloud-based medical imaging platform.
